Testimonials

”I wanted to take this opportunity to send you my sincerest thanks and appreciation for the professionalism and compassion you gave to our family during our time of need.    I wanted to let you know that you were very instrumental in assisting our family ease through the process of having our family member’s wishes carried out and implemented.  I especially am very grateful for your comforting words, compassion, and the professional demeanor you displayed to help us get through some very painful issues that needed to be handled.

You made it so much easier for all of us and we appreciated how knowledgeable, compassionate and considerate you were to us in catering to all our needs.  I just cannot thank you enough for all the extra caring things you did for us, freely from your heart. The prayer cards were amazing and beautiful, the service by the priest was very eloquent, the certificates were promptly sent, it was so thoughtful and caring of you to go above and beyond those extra miles for us.  Your establishment, staff and service were impeccable and I cannot say enough to let you know that we highly recommend your establishment to everyone.  I will certainly be recommending Hamel Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home to everyone so that they can receive the best service in the business that I have experienced.

Chris you are the epitome of a true professional who genuinely cares for people and I sincerely send my hanks to you and your staff.

“I would like to thank Chris for all his help and support in the untimely death of my mother.  He helped my family and myself during a really difficult time.  He explained everything and helped us immensely.  I couldn’t have been more satisfied.  I want you to know your services and caring are greatly appreciated.  I am planning pre-burial services for myself and members of my family with your funeral home.”

On behalf of my family, please accept our sincere thanks for coordinating our mothers arrangements.  We were very pleased with your professional manner, listening to each of the children’s wants and needs and keeping us on task so that the end result was what my mom would have wanted.  All of your services and recommendations were appreciated.  Mom looked at peace and “herself”.  The florist understood what we wanted and delivered it.  The service in the home was cozy and personal.  Thank you again for making what could have been chaotic into a pleasant and honorable event.  My mother is truly at peace with her heavenly father.”

“I just wanted to send you a note telling you that the funeral turned out perfect.  About 50 people came, mostly family and a couple of my old high school friends.  The honor guard and flag made it so special and you personally delivering him was the greatest gift anyone could ever do for me.  Thank you for everything you did to make his funeral so special to me.”

“Please accept my deepest gratitude and appreciation for your extraordinary compassionate gesture. When the Presidential Certificate arrived, I was truly overwhelmed. My husband was very proud of his service in World War II, yet also humble about his service. I know that this certificate would have meant more to him than words can express. Our entire family thanks you. Please be assured this Certificate will be framed and proudly shared with all.
Again, my deepest thanks.

“I want to reach out to you and personally thank you for the care and attention you gave to our family with my father-in-law’s funeral last week. Words cannot express what it meant to have someone as professional and accommodating shepherding us through this sudden and tragic loss. You were very understanding of the cost concerns and I do appreciate everything you did based on our business relations, but little did I know that was just the beginning. As you know, my wife and her siblings were the decision makers. It was not my place to make decisions on the final arrangements for the man who raised them, but I wanted them to have a choice of a person they could trust in a very dark time for them. I can’t thank you enough for being that person. It had a very big impact on the entire family and they all commented on your kindness, sincerity, and flexibility. The family was also very pleased with your facility as compared to the others they visited. They thought it was much nicer, brighter, and more welcoming; a fitting place to say goodbye to “Dad”. There were also impressed with your familiarity with the Buddhist ceremony and traditions. They were all honored as you bowed three times after placing the casket in the hearse. One family member even commented they thought they saw a tear in your eye during the ceremony at the crematory. You made a difficult situation a loving and warm goodbye, they all felt cared for and that their father was in good hands.
Thanks again, you did a great thing for our family.”

“I’m sure you have heard this many, many times before but I will never be able to thank you enough for your help and your wonderful, gentle way with my mom.  You made my Dad’s passing much easier on us.  We were totally unprepared for this situation, had no experience and basically could not have done this without you.  I believe it was Beverly that we first spoke with and she was wonderful.  Again, I hope I don’t need you anytime soon Chris, but thank you so very much.”

“Just wanted to send a personal “thank you” for all you did to help us organize our mom’s final arrangements.  We got a lot more than we expected and everyone at Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home was so kind and respectful and personable.  You all do a great service in an exceptional way.  I know it can be difficult to deal with all the family members and keep everything straight

My dad and sisters all commented on how nice you were to work with and how pleased they were with your professionalism.  So, thanks to all of you who came out so readily to pick up our Mom.  We appreciate your level of kindness.”
