Founded in 1932 by Charles H. Wickens in his mother’s house before moving to its current location in 1949, Hamel, Wickens & Troupe was operated for many years by his son-in-law, Roger G. Hamel. The funeral home is now operated by his grandson, Funeral Director Scott R. Hamel.
Known to the people of Quincy and surrounding communities as, Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, Hamel Funeral Care & Cremation Service of Massachusetts has been proudly family owned and operated since 1932. For many years to come our Funeral Home intends to serve the people of Quincy and their surrounding communities with the belief that every human body is entitled to care, respect and dignity from the time of death until the final disposition, regardless of what kind of funeral ceremony occurs.
